Job Description: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.  The Registered Nurse is responsible for promoting the Mission, Vision and Values of the Sunrise Health Region through provisions of safe quality nursing care to clients.  He/She is responsible to the Manager of the designated area.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) or required to obtain within 6 months of employment
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
6 week Dialysis training at the Regina General Hospital
6 week orientation in YRHC Hemodialysis Unit
Other Information

Note:  This position is open to all SUN members within the bargaining unit as per Article 27.05 of the SUN Collective Bargaining Agreement, however first preference will be given to employees of Sunrise Health Region.

Must be Hemodialysis trained or willing to complete the Saskatchewan Provincial Hemodialysis Education which requires the ability to attend clinical training in Regina or Saskatoon for a three week period.
Dialysis training involves education from Saskatchewan Polytechnic - Care of the Patient with Kidney Disease, followed by Telehealth classroom education and practicum in Regina or Saskatoon for a three week period.
1) The most senior Hemo trained RN will be chosen for the position.
2) If there are no Hemo trained applicants then the most senior RN will be sent to the next Hemo course in February 2023.
