Description

Mitsubishi Power Canada, Ltd. is a major supplier of components and services to the energy industry in Canada and around the world. We are currently seeking to fill a permanent Welding position to join our highly skilled team.

Responsibilities:
Promote a safe working environment
Read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents
Operate welding and cutting equipment (manual and automated)
Use of hand and power tools
Completion of quality documentation
General organization, housekeeping, and maintenance of the production facility and equipment
Participate in the planning of projects
Travel to/from and work on customer sites
Other duties as assigned  

Requirements:
Demonstrated commitment to safety
Grade 12 or equivalent
Journeyperson welder or Red Seal certification
Experience with Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding required.
Manual dexterity and demonstrated ability with precision hand finishing/blending
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
Availability to perform shift work
Ability to travel to various world-wide locations
Computer skills
Experience with Plasma Tungsten Arc (PTA) welding considered an asset.
Power generation outage experience considered an asset.
Millwright experience considered an asset.
