Description

Doodle Bug Day Care Inc. is seeking to hire a permanent full time Director commencing as soon as possible.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Board of directors, the Child care Centre Director will be a full time employee responsible for duties in the day to day running of the daycare, supervision and program direction, as well as interaction with the children.
Duties & Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
-Administrative duties (maintaining enrolment/waitlist, staff/children scheduling, maintain accurate record keeping, operating within a budget, applying for grants, completes annual licensing's requirements, purchasing/ordering supplies needed, invoicing/receiving payments, issuing receipts, completing monthly financial requirements for the bookkeeper and/or ministry of education.
Program & Child Development (ensure the implementation of developmentally appropriate programming, inclusive environment & programs, act as a positive role model for staff, children & families, knowing each child's daily routine)
Human Resources (recruit qualified staff, oversea staff in all aspects, conduct regular performance reviews, implementation of appropriate disciplinary action, encourage personal growth of staff, ensure HR policy handbook is adhered to and all staff are aware of and implementing the policy's)
Board Relations (attends all board meetings and the AGM with a written report of the status of the centre, assists the board with fundraisers, ensures the centre meets all legal requirements, acts as a liaison between the board and staff or parents, ensuring all complaints are addressed)
Family Support (orientates new families when enrolling, ensures effective communication with families, assists families in connecting with agencies, addressing parent concerns in a timely manner, maintains confidentiality)
