Description

The City of Moose Jaw is seeking to fill our Crew Lead  Facilities (Third Party & Civic Facilities) position. Under the direction of the Facilities & Buildings Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing direction and supervision for staff and contractors involved in the maintenance, caretaking, and housekeeping of City facilities.

This position will perform the following duties:
    Assist in the development and implementation of policies and operating guidelines
    Ensure preventative and daily maintenance tasks are met
    Scheduled preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
    Maintain systematic, complete, and accurate records
    Monitor and track Caretaker and Cleaner certifications
    Responsible for ordering and monitoring facility maintenance and janitorial supplies
    Identify and recommend repair or renewal projects
    Assist in preparing budget information and monitor expenditures
    Drive, operate, inspect, and ensure proper maintenance of various vehicles
    Be available for after-hours call outs, overtime, and staff support
    Perform other duties as assigned or required

Qualified candidates will possess:
    Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
    Minimum of 3 years experience in facility and building maintenance and caretaking
    Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
    Possess Refrigeration Operators Certificate OR 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate
    Valid Class 5 drivers license and abstract
    Able to obtain: Fireman Boiler Operator Cert, SPRA Level 1 Arena Operators Certificate, Swimming Pool Operators Certificate and Class 3A drivers license with air brake endorsement, Refrigeration Engineers Certificate and BOMI International System Maintenance Technician
    Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    Ability to physically perform unassisted lifting up to 50lbs and pass respirator fit testing
