Description

Zagime Anishinabek is a progressive First Nations government, located around 22 KM Northeast of Grenfell Town in Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Director of Lands and Infrastructure, the Community Development Coordinator is responsible for identifying, initiating, and taking a lead role in activities that reflect the Zagime Anishinabek Comprehensive Community Based Planning objectives. This position has the option for a hybrid work schedule.

DUTIES:
Implementation of the community development initiatives aimed at building long term capacity and fostering the integration of Zagime Anishinabeks Comprehensive Community Based Planning objectives.
Liaise and work in collaboration with existing on-reserve development corporations
Planning, developing, implementing, and marketing on-reserve development opportunities.
Working with governments, funding agencies, local industry, and local businesses to develop and implement initiatives to enhance community development.
Liaise and communicate plans, actions, and issues with membership
Supervisory responsibilities of staff

QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in community development, business, commerce, or related discipline and a minimum of three years experience in a related field; or diploma in administration and minimum of eight years of direct work experience in a related field.
Project Management Certification is an asset.
Excellent verbal, written and social media communication skills.
Proficiency in word, excel, power-point and other computer software
Experience working with First Nations including knowledge of Indigenous rights, history, culture, and current socioeconomic issues.
A valid Drivers License is required and must be maintained throughout employment, and access to a dependable vehicle.
Must submit a Pre-employment Drug screening, and Criminal Record Check prior to commencement of employment.
