Description

North Prairie Developments is a dynamic, client-focused team of experienced industry professionals who have designed and developed thousands of residential and commercial properties in Saskatoon and Regina. We value long-term relationships and understand the importance of balancing work and life. We are seeking an Architectural Technologist to join our team.

Reporting to the Architect, you will provide technical building design services for residential, commercial and mixed-use construction projects. You will also prepare all working drawings and construction documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:
Liaise with municipal government representatives, land developers and team members on various projects
Prepare plot plans, grade slips, building plans and joist layout for municipal governments
Complete permit applications and compile all required documentation
Complete site inspections; write site visit reports
Review specifications and prepare working drawings and construction documentation for various projects
Create job files and manage all project documentation and contract administration

You keep abreast of industry regulatory and compliance changes, and have thorough knowledge of building codes and municipal bylaws. You are a stickler for details and consistently produce accurate drawings and changes to drawings with limited supervision.

To prepare for this role, you have completed a building, engineering or architectural technology program and have 2+ years of experience. Eligibility for designation as an AScT is preferred but not required. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite and MS Office required.
