Greet customers and bag and/or box purchases for customers at stores.
Price items using stamp or stickers according to price list.
Establish or identify price of goods, services or admission and tabulate total payment required using electronic or other cash register, or other equipment.
Receive and process payments by cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit.
Unpack products received by store and count, weigh or sort items.
Provide information to customers.
Calculate total payments received at end of work shift and reconcile with total sales.
Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, or tobacco products.
May accept advance order of customer over the phone for store pick up.
Price the merchandise as per supervisor instructions.
Stock shelves and clean check-out counter area and store area as needed.
