Job Description: The Manager, Neonatal Intensive Care is a key leader in Saskatchewan health care, partnering with system leaders to achieve our province's healthcare goals. Reporting to the Director of Maternal and Children's Provincial Programs - North, the Manager is responsible for creating operational lines of sight that connect to the goals and objectives of the SHA. The Manager supports strategy through the development and execution of operational and business plans, including cascading, monitoring, reporting, and course correction of same. The Manager demonstrates strong leadership to enable an innovative and positive working climate and a client centric culture. The Manager must work cross functionally within the portfolio and cross the organization to support operations. The Manager will develop partnerships and work closely with system and community partners.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a high profile service providing care to the premature and ill newborns from across the province. The NICU is Level 2B. This unit operates 24/7 and consists of 10 baby bays and 11 beds (one twin room). The Nursing Unit Manager is accountable for the overall management and quality of patient care provided to neonates and their families within the hospital. As part of Maternal and Children's Provincial Programs the manager works in collaboration with provincial partners to build provincial NICU capacity in order to reduce the out of province transfer of neonates.

Contact may include: staff at all levels of the organization, physicians and physician leaders, community groups and agencies, Neonatal organizations, government departments, and the Ministry of Health.
