Description

POSITION: Direct Contact Staff REPORTING TO: Executive Director

Choose Life Ministry is a 6 month, biblically-based, residential program for women 18-29 years old who are seeking freedom from life-controlling issues. At Choose Life Ministry everything we do revolves around our faith in God and the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Choose Life Ministry home is in a rural setting located 8 km southeast of Gainsborough, SK www.chooselifeministry.ca

Job Responsibilities
Have good knowledge and understanding of the Resident Handbook
Supervise residents daily ensuring their safety
Carry homestead keys and provided cell phone at all times
Maintain reasonable control; enforce rules, and discipline accordingly
Administer and record medications
Ensure residents practice proper hygiene and do their laundry
Ensure chores are done properly
Lead daily devotions, work projects, sports, and games
Report daily and weekly on resident progress
Follow the posted weekend schedule
Accountability
Ability to create meals and snacks
Attend and participate in staff meetings
Choose Life Ministry operates on the values of love, trust, excellence, accountability and freedom and expects the highest level of integrity in its staff
Supervision by the Executive Director

Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong Christian character
First Aid certificate, ASIST, Non-Violent Intervention preferred but not required
Valid drivers license

Other desirable skills include: organization, communication both in writing and speaking, interpersonal, decision-making and creativity

Salary negotiable based on qualifications and experience

This position required driving to a rural homestead for work hours, mileage and vehicle not provided.
