Summer Student JobWork setting:
Wild Waves Waterpark is located at Rowans Ravine Provincial Park, the setting will be located at the beach and in the lake water on the floating inflatable waterpark.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Attempt to prevent accidents through the enforcement of rules and policies governing users of the facility.
Supervise swimmers
Rescue when required, any person needing assistance.
Provide first aid to swimmers and patrons.
Spotting hazards and preventing accidents.
Report any unsafe condition(s) to immediate supervisor.
Maintain order.
Be public relations conscious to all users of the facility.
Be conscious of weather
Know the emergency procedures of the facility.
To assist in any manner as directed by the Supervisor.
Helping customers with waivers (making sure they are completed properly), taking payments and helping customers with lifejackets.
Conduct daily safety checks of play equipment and emergency first aid equipment.
Requirements:
Standard First Aid with CPR level C or equivalent
National Lifeguard Service -NLS (Senior lifeguards)
Bronze Medallion & Cross Certificates (Junior lifeguards)
Schedule is flexible.
