Description

Job Summary:
Landscape Labourer is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks in order to assist with the completion of Landscape Construction projects. The Landscape labourer will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specific job tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Work Safely and in a responsible manner, with eager participation and initiative.
2.Comply with all company policies and regulations
3.Provide & Wear appropriate PPE at all times
4.Communicate with Customers and potential customers in a polite and courteous manner.
5.Maintain standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites and shop/yard areas.
6.High Attention to detail while managing time and demanding excellence in quality of work. At time will be under tight timelines and pressure.
7.Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks in various weather conditions.
8.Assist the crew in the following tasks:
a.Construct brick walkways, patios, walls.
b.Dig trenches and perform land clearing activities
c.Load and unload materials, tools and equipment for landscape construction projects
d.Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, hand lifting/carrying.
e.Operate various tools including: chainsaws, brick saws, jackhammers, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers and small and medium  power tools.
f.Periodically operate heavy equipment, such as mini bobcat, small dump truck, trailer(s) (Dump & Flat deck).

Minimum Training and Experience:
1.High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
2.Preference given to candidates with one or more years of experience in Landscape Construction or labour based trades
3.Strong knowledge of landscape products is an asset
4.Ability to lift 30-50 lbs+ repetitively
5.Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
6.Class 5 drivers license and Reliable transporation.
