North Fringe Industrial Technologies Inc. is expanding our Dredging and Dewatering Crew. The available positions are seasonal; location and length of employment are project dependent. Commonly, the schedule is 10-12hr days, 2 weeks in, one week out. Opportunities available for outstanding candidates that may lead to year-around full time employment.  
Job Description and Responsibilities:
Must be able to travel and stay on site for periods of time. Accommodations and meals provided.  
Operation of cutter-head dredge and diesel engine pumps
Prepare sites/location for dredge/dewatering job
Insure safe and proper operation of all dredge related equipment, and maintain radio contact with lead man
Perform routine inspections, assist in preventative maintenance, and repair on dredge related equipment directed by supervisor
Operation of workboat with an outboard motor
Ability to work with minimum supervision or under the direction of a supervisor.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Safety Training an asset
Must hold valid boating certificate.
First Aid Training an asset
Skilled in the operation of hand tools and small power tools
Experience with pumps and machinery
Works well and efficiently unsupervised and with a team
Mechanical/technical aptitude
Capable of working in all weather conditions, around water and be able to safely perform the duties while operating a dredge
Ability to perform basic logging and documentation tasks
Required to work extended hours, shift work, and weekend shifts.
The physical demands of climbing, balancing, sitting, stooping, and lifting is necessary to perform the essential functions of this job!
Qualifications and Experience:
-Trade or Technical schooling a plus
-1 year of experience relating to operation of heavy machinery
-Welding and torch cutting skills a plus
-Ability to work outdoors, hands on environment
-General labour: At least 1 (one) year
