Description

As the Senior Technologist, Non-potable Systems, you will assist with coordinating the work of a group of technicians responsible to undertake operation and maintenance work within an assigned regional waterworks district. The regional waterworks district may include water distribution, water transmission, open conveyance canal and reservoir works. You will also undertake operational duties.

To qualify, you will have a diploma in Water Resources Engineering Technology or a similar technical discipline. You are eligible for certification as an Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.) or Certified Technician (C.Tech.). You have your Industrial Aquatic Pesticide Applicators License and a valid 1A drivers license.

In accordance with the Water and Wastewater Operator Certification Program, certification in Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection and Wastewater Treatment must, at a minimum, meet the facility level of certification for the district.

In addition to the above qualifications the job requires 4 years of progressively more responsible experience.

Special Requirements:  The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check and Drug and Alcohol test. You must be legally entitled to work in Canada. A valid Saskatchewan drivers license is required.
