Description

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Yorkton and Area is seeking a full-time Mentoring Coordinator/Caseworker.
The incumbent will assist with coordinating our mentoring programs that ignite the power and potential of youth including intake, onboarding of volunteer mentors, intakes of youth plus supporting the mentoring matches to ensure the healthy development of the relationships. The Mentoring Coordinator will assist with the planning and implementation of fundraising and promotional events as requested.

Knowledge and Required Skills:
*2 year diploma in a related field eg. education, social or human sciences, child and youth work, family studies etc...
*May be a 3rd year Social Work student currently enrolled in an education program.
*Specific training in understanding human growth and development and interpersonal skills
*volunteer program management with experience in volunteer management, recruitment and supervision of volunteers is an asset;
*Being a positive role model and able to interact in a positive supportive manner with youth, volunteers and community members.
