Yorkton is looking for an Anesthesiologist with excellent professional and communication skills. The successful candidate will join our team and provide comprehensive anesthesiology services to the residents of Yorkton and surrounding areas out of the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. The Yorkton Regional Health Centre is an 86-bed acute care referral center equipped with four OR suites, provides full obstetrical services as well as gynecology and general surgery.
The scope of practice includes inpatient and outpatient care, emergency consults and specialist on-call coverage. On call coverage is required on a rotational basis (1:3) and elective OR runs from 0745 to 1600.
Job Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a Fellow (or be eligible for Fellowship) with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) in Anesthesia. Family Physicians with additional Anesthesiology training may be considered. The successful candidate must be registered or eligible to register with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) and be licensed to practice medicine in Saskatchewan. Physicians must maintain membership and insurance with the Canadian Medical Protective Association. The language of work is English. In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
