Job Description: The Sexual Health Nurse is an advanced clinical practice nurse in the study of Sexual Health and Wellness.

The Sexual Health Nurse requires skill in collaborative multidisciplinary consultation with regional physicians, MHO's and other provincial health organizations - NITHA/FINHB.  The position will ensure seamless coordination of testing, treatment protocols, contact tracing and reporting.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)
Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Experience
Minimum 2 years direct nursing experience in primary care, public/community health nursing
Preference to nursing experience with sexually transmitted infections and/or blood borne pathogens in a clinical or community setting.
Preference to experience working with clients engaged in at risk behavior and/or marginalized populations

Must be eligibility for clearance to Correctional Facilities

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check (VSC) is required for individuals providing patient/resident/client care to vulnerable persons. Internal candidates may be required to provide a CRC and/or VSC during the recruitment
