Working at our landfill located in the RM of LeRoy, responsibilities will include:
-Operating weigh scale, weighing in and out trucks
-Accurately recording weights into the system verifying scale tickets and ensuring material is graded and paid
-Calculating costs for drivers and customers based on vehicle weight, preparing and issuing tickets and receipts
-Ensuring accuracy of tickets
-Balancing cash register for all daily monetary transactions
-Completing daily reports, maintaining logs, spreadsheets, and other reports as assigned
-Communicating with other employees to coordinate the movement of materials
-Assisting customers with directions and questions
-Providing excellent customer service
-Maintaining order and housekeeping of scales and scale house
-Overseeing water monitoring program of landfill
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
-Minimum of one year previous administrative or customer service experience
-Strong customer service skills
-Intermediate skills with MS Word and Excel
-Strong, accurate data entry skills
-Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
-Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
-Must be willing to become certified in Basic Landfill Operations and Water Monitoring program
