Description

Plastipak Industries inc. is specialized in the fabrication and decoration of plastic containers and lids for the food industry. Our fabrication processes are: injection molding including in-mold labelling, sheet extrusion,thermoforming, and printing. The company operates 2 production facilities: Cookshire (QC) and Regina (SK). The head office is located in Boucherville (QC) on the South-Shore of Montreal.

We are presently recruiting for the position of
Production Planner in our Regina Facility:
Reporting directly to the Planning and Customer Service Coordinator, the Production planner position: prepares, updates, and optimizes the production schedules while respecting our customer requirements as well as efficiently managing inventory levels. He/She performs daily follow-ups of production orders to fulfill and
participates in the daily production meetings to remain informed of production efficiencies and status.
Skills Required:
General knowledge and abilities:
Analyse and manage production priorities
Plan and follow-up daily production requirements according to customer needs
Track and analyze sales and production forecasts
Create and communicate short and mid-term production schedules
Participate in daily production meetings
Manage inventory levels to prevent backorders
Ensure data accuracy to prevent production errors and backorders
Daily follow-ups of production orders to fabricate
Fast reaction to changing priorities to better respond to our customer needs
Prepare and update the production schedules
Analyze production performances and efficiencies
Work in close relation with the Customer service and Production teams
Requirements :
  3 to 5 year experience in production planning

The ability to speak both English and French would be an asset
