Due to increased expansion SeedMaster is seeking an innovative and results-oriented Health & Safety Coordinator.

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure all employees understand the necessary safety requirements of their position ensuring no one is violating safety regulations.

What will you be working on?

Administer on-line and personalized safety training to all employees when determined by Managers and Supervisors
Follow and maintain OH&S guidelines and develop SeedMaster strategies for following guidelines with Managers
Handle accident and incident reports along with record keeping
Identify corrective actions required for preventing future incidents
Build respectful and construction relationships with management and employees
Develop/implement safety plans, job hazard assessments, and safe work procedures
Conduct and document inspections and site visits to verify compliance with legislations, and company safety procedures and policies
Maintain PPE and safety equipment
Assist and provide guidance on return to work plans
Facilitate, organize, and provide the required reports for the OH&S committee

What is required for this role?

Intermediate level of 3 to 5 years experience in a safety related field
Safety Certification and/or educatoin from a recognized Safety Organization
Thorough knowledge of OH&S legislation and guidelines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated leadership skills.
