Grain farm labourer with ability to perform all related and operational tasks on a medium sized grain farm.
General tasks to be performed:
-all operational tasks including agricultural spraying operations
-maintenance & repair of farm machinery
-grain handling & hauling
- other farm duties
QUALIFICATIONS:
-positive attitude, good work ethic
-reliable, responsible and conscientious with sufficient attention to detail
-open minded approach to tasks
-self-motivated, able to work with little supervision and willing to work cooperatively with other employees
-energetic, physically fit, and willing to tackle physically demanding tasks in all kinds of weather
-previous experience on modern, computerized farm machinery with responsible caring attitude working with this equipment (may consider someone with strong mechanical ability in place of experience)
-previous farm experience (may consider someone without farm experience depending on other qualifications)
-Valid class 1A drivers licence
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-non smoking
-Grade 12 or equivalent education
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
-ability to work long hours during busy seasons
-permanent seasonal term (April to Nov depending on farming season), or flexible terms
