Description

The Municipality is currently accepting applications for the position of full-time Heavy Equipment Operator.  This is a seasonal position from approximately April to November. Seasonal Weather permitting. The RM of Buffalo has a great pension plan through MEPP, top level health & dental benefits plan through Blue Cross as well as life insurance. Applicants must be willing to work weekdays and weekends as required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
    Operate and service various equipment and attachments.  Such as but not limited to graders, tractors, mowers, excavators;
    Rock picking, installation of culverts and minor road construction;
     Sign and post installation;
    Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish effective working relationships with co-workers, council, administration; contractors and ratepayers;
    Other duties as assigned by the Foreman.
The successful applicant should possess:
    Experience in road maintenance and operation of heavy equipment;
    Class 1A license is an asset;
     Applicants must have the ability to manage and organize daily duties and work with minimal supervision;
    Valid drivers license;
    Good communication and documentation skills.
