Maintenance Worker
For the community of La Ronge
Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services is calling out for casual Maintenance Workers to work under the supervision of the Operations & Maintenance Coordinator in the community of La Ronge. The ideal candidate will be required to provide maintenance, ground keeping, project/renovation work, and other work-related activities as necessary; and will also be required to travel to the LLRIB outlying communities.
Duties:
Organize and perform day-to-day minor maintenance and repairs of buildings and grounds;
Prepare, keep all sidewalks, stairs, ramps, entrances and exits clear of clutter and snow, salt when necessary to ensure safety & easy access to Health Facility.
Install minor equipment
Make a schedule of the jobs to be carried out and ensure the schedule is adhered to routine and preventative maintenance;
Ability to travel to outlying LLRIB communities.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor & or designate.
Qualifications:
Firemans Certified in boiler operations is an asset; but not required, must have knowledge in minor repair and maintenance; Knowledge in the repair of small appliances; Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical; Carpentry and painting;
Experience and knowledge with computers and office equipment are an asset;
Must have Valid Class 5 Drivers License;
First Aid/CPR Certification is an asset;
Security Clearance: Criminal Records Check, Vulnerable Sector Check and Drivers Abstract required upon hire.
