HOME HEALTH AIDE
Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services is now inviting applications for 1 (One) Permanent Full Time, Home Health Aide for the community of Sucker River, Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will assist and provide services in the Home and Community Care Program for community members.
Duties:
Apply a knowledge-based Home Health Aide practice independently and in collaboration with the client and other health care professionals to promote independent living of clients;
Must be able to provide home management, personal care and respite assistance to clients;
Use skills and interventions to meet the physical, social/cultural, emotional and spiritual needs of the client;
Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or designate;
Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent; Home Health Aide or Continuing Care Aide certificate preferred;
Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with the home care team;
Must be self-directed and demonstrate organizational skills;
Previous home care or acute care experience is an asset;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to speak or understand Cree is an asset;
Must possess a Class 5 Drivers License;
Criminal Record Clearance, Vulnerable Sector Screening and Drivers Abstract are required upon hire.
