Description

The Distillery Manager is responsible for all aspects of quality control, innovation of new products, and shows full accountability for the safety, maintenance, and productivity of the facility.  This includes implementing and monitoring all operating policies, procedures, and managing all staff on the production floor.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Management
Plan, execute, and review all day-to-day operations of the distillery
Manage the production environment, equipment, and people efficiently with utmost care for standards of hygiene and food safety, abiding by all OHS regulations.
Manage the inventory of consumable materials
Lead the research and development of new product lines, including spirits, liqueurs, and refreshment beverages.
Collaborate with the sales team and others to plan and report on production, inventory, sales, and storage.

Master Distiller
Responsible for all daily distillation operations
Recording and reporting on equipment maintenance, production line operations, and inventory log.  
Work with the sales department and others to plan and report on production, inventory, sales, and storage.
Manage the production environment, equipment, and people efficiently with utmost care for standards of hygiene and food safety.
Appropriate networking with suppliers, vendors and consultants
Supervise and train Distiller Technicians

Qualifications
Experience in QC/QA in the beverage industry is a plus;
Food Production laboratory experience in QC/QA or R&D is desired
Detailed understanding and knowledge  of the distilling process
