The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan (FCAA) promotes confidence through innovative regulation and education for Saskatchewans marketplace. The Corporate Services Branch in the FCAA requires a confident, motivated and results oriented individual with strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills for the position of Business Analyst.
In this challenging and exciting position, the Business Analyst acts as a change agent that provides a lead role in business improvement activities to ensure client expectations, requirements, and priorities are met. Specific responsibilities include:
- leading the implementation of a cyber security vision to safeguard the organization;
- leading and managing changes to business processes and computer applications;
- assisting clients in gathering business requirements and preparing requirements documents; and
- monitoring current, new, and emerging services.
Finally, this position will lead and manage complicated projects and will be responsible for project success from initiation stages through requirements, planning, designing, building, testing, piloting and successful transition to operations within the FCAA.
Knowledge of business needs analysis/business process improvement methodologies, tools and processes, and an understanding of project management methodologies and process is also required.
Typically, the technical skills required for this position would be obtained through a post-secondary degree in business or information technology, and several years of progressive experience. Project management certification, Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP), and/or an A+ Certification would be considered an asset in this position. An alternative combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
