Facility: Royal University Hospital
Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager(s) of Nursing, the RN will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, coordination and evaluation of patient care within the Pediatric Hemodialysis unit. This will include supporting and administration of hemodialysis therapy, administration of day medicine infusions, and providing clinical support of other acute care pediatric areas when needed.
Required Qualifications

Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
Care of Patient/Kidney Disease Course
Current BCLS certification
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Experience
- 2 years recent fulltime experience in acute care nursing.
- Previous experience in acute care pediatric nursing is preferred.
- Previous experience in hemodialysis or continuous renal replacement therapy is an asset.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to prioritize and be flexible
Communication skills to transfer knowledge/skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment required.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skill
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proven independent problem solving and decision making skills require
Other Information

Current Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is an asset
