Description

This is a safety-sensitive position, the successful candidate(s) will be required to successfully complete mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol testing to comply with SaskPowers Fit for Duty Policy.

JOB SUMMARY:
The employee in this classification performs a variety of linepersons assignments involved in all aspects of the installation, construction, troubleshooting, repairing, specialized testing, maintenance, and ongoing inspection and maintenance of all overhead and underground distribution, transmission, switching station, substation and streetlight facilities and infrastructure.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Interprovincial Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate, or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to safely and competently perform power line work at the journeyed level
Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position
Ability to cooperate and deal tactfully with others
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Valid Class 1A drivers licence
