Summer Student JobThe Allan Swimming Pool is looking for qualified, energetic and motivated individuals interested in working at an outdoor swimming pool facility and gaining essential work experience. Candidates are required to be 15 years of age and have their Bronze Medallion & Cross Certificates, current Standard First Aid with CPR level C or equivalent and a WHMIS certificate no earlier than 2020.
Anticipated Start/End Date: June, 2023 to August 31, 2023.
Location: 227 Main Street, Allan, Sk. the Allan & District outdoor seasonal Swimming Pool, located 30 minutes east of Saskatoon off of Highway 16.
Job Responsibilities
Complete daily tasks including; documenting water chemistry levels, following opening and closing procedures, routine cleaning duties and equipment checks, and collecting admissions.
Supervise swimmers and enforce pool rules
Provide a safe and clean environment for the facility users
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
Education: High School or post-secondary student returning to studies in the fall of 2022 or individuals with a standard high school or vocational school diploma. Required to complete Young Worker Readiness Certificate Course (YWRCC) and obtain a Certificate of Completion if 15 years old.
Experience: No previous experience in a pool facility is required.
