The Ministry has an exciting opportunity for a creative, energetic, and motivated marketing and communications professional who is looking to help manage an innovative, results driven team. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Marketing will:
-Lead the development and implementation of marketing and communications plans for SaskParks, Royal Saskatchewan Museum and other initiatives and programs across the Ministry, finding innovative and cost-effective ways to meet the Ministrys goals.
-Oversee tactical development and evaluate results.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would have been obtained through the completion of a university degree in marketing, journalism and/or communications along with a minimum 5 years of experience in a marketing or communications role with at least 2 years at a management level, or, at least 8 years of experience in marketing or communications with at least 2 years at a management level.
You will have knowledge of:
-Marketing strategies, principles, and planning;
-Marketing techniques, methods, standards, and mediums including provincial and national advertising media and markets; and
-Communication theories and principals including the underlying elements of strategic communication planning.
