Description

All Educators are responsible for delivering early learning and child care services in alignment with the Centres philosophy. They carry out developmentally appropriate programming for all children in the Centre. Early Childhood Educators need to be flexible to meet the needs of the children in our care. They are responsible to the Director.


Duties and Responsibilities: ( MUST BE AT LEAST 16 Years of Age)

-To follow Centre operational policies and procedures as specified in the Staff Policy Manual

-To learn to use and utilize the HiMama communication app daily on the center provided tablets. (E.g., Child Reports, Learning Experiences/photos, Calendars, Messages, etc.)

-Ensure the well-being and safety of children enrolled in the Centre

-Implement inclusive practices and programming to ensure all children participate in the child care program

-Plan and implement programming appropriate to the developmental level of children which embraces the vision and principles of Play Exploration: Early Learning and Program Guide

-Assist children with all necessary care routines (e.g., diapering, toileting, hygiene, etc.) balancing the development of independence with the Childs need for assistance

-Assist in preparing and cleaning up from meals and snacks when needed.

-Ability to assist or make snacks and meals as needed.

-Clean toys, floors, and other items according to the cleaning schedule.

-Assist in daily/weekly laundry at the centre

-Communicate verbally and collaborate with families, colleagues, Director, and the community to support high quality child care

-Accept direction and constructive criticism from the Director and co-workers with an open and positive attitude
Complete time-sheet daily

-Wage Enhancement for those who have ECE Levels I, II, or III

-GDC Supports employees who are wanting to gain education in the Early Childhood Programs.
