The successful applicant will have experience preparing estimates/budgets for full projects (design+build) in the commercial construction industry.

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the General Manager in the determination of desirable work.
- Review tendering procedures, examine, and analyze tenders, recommend tender awards, and conduct negotiations.
- Coordinate bid schedule maintenance with Tendering & Office Coordinator as well as bond/insurance certificate procurement.
- Prepare for and promptly attend pre-tender site meetings as needed.
- Complete tenders in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner, including Site investigation and review, Quantity take-off, Cost estimation, Application/distribution of overhead and fees, Tender form completion, Delivery and submissions, and Tender result procurement.
- Preparing estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment and subcontracts for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings, and specifications.
- Prepare budgets and construction schedules, and setting up project administration files
- Upon project reward, review tender/construction documents with the delegated Project Manager and Superintendent to review details of the project.
- Communicate with Project Managers during the construction phase if they have any questions about pricing or cost (i.e. potential changes in scope).
