Description

The District of Katepwa is looking for two (2) self-motivated individuals to take on the position of Summer Activities Coordinator. These positions will run play programs in the Katepwa Point Provincial Park for children between the ages of 3-12.

The Position will commence June 26, 2023, and end August 11, 2023, with activities running Monday-Friday 9:30-3:30.

Duties to include but are not limited to:
Plan and lead play programs focusing on movement skills, cultural and creative activities, and physical literacy.
Prepare the weekly calendar of activities and provide information for social media and the District Website.
Ability to work as part of a team with the other staff or volunteers from the community.
Complete all evaluations and reports as required.
Other duties as assigned by the District Council and CAO.

Qualifications:
Preference will be given to those with a background or training in Recreations and Leisure, Kinesiology or Education.
Minimum of 16 years of age.
Experience working with children would be an asset.
Knowledge and experience with Word Excel, Facebook Instagram
Knowledge and/or experience in recreation programming and program development
