Job description
AGI Envirotank is a leading manufacturer of above and below-ground steel storage tanks for both shop built and field erected applications. We are currently looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent to work in our office in Biggar, SK.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Purchasing of consumables and shop supplies used in our process.
Sourcing/Purchasing of parts and materials for building and equipment maintenance.
Ensuring proper quantities, quality and price of materials.
Sourcing product and availability to fit our needs while ensuring the best purchasing price.
Tracing shipments and follow up on goods.
Managing inventory levels and pricing.
Negotiating purchasing pricing and terms with suppliers.
Supervise and ensure stockroom completes work accurately and in proper timely manner.
Working with sales and production staff to generate forecasts of inventory requirements based on what we are producing.

Skills & Abilities:

Purchasing experience is an asset.
Mechanical background would be a great asset.
Ability to read parts diagrams.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Excellent English both written and verbally.
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to problem solve and manage competing requests in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
Self-directed and organized with the ability to multi-task, follow-up and prioritize to complete assignments on tight deadlines.
