The role of the Custodian is to help keep Carmichael's interior and exterior of our center clean & tidy while assisting with day-to-day operations. This can include but is not limited to:
-Identifying occurring deficiencies and/or the need for repairs - Leaking roof, backup sewage, broken equipment (i.e. washing machine/dryer) etc.
-Setting up and organizing the Multi-Purpose Room (Common Area) for conferences, events, staff training, and employee engagement activities.
-Performing certain cleaning on a routine basis and as required including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaningthe sanitizing of railings, handles, and other surfaces, washing of walls, windows and glass doors.
-Cleaning and organizing the small sea can
-Carrying out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects as directed (Polishing floors etc.)
-Adjusting and minor repairs to building including painting, repair, and refurbishing walls
-Assisting with donations
Stock and maintain janitorial rooms (upper/lower levels), hall (Common Area), mechanical room (Upper/lower levels)
-Proper disposal of Bi-Waste
-Change of all filters for HVAC as required
-Remove and properly dispose of all recyclable materials
-Change light bulbs, interior and exterior, as needed
-Maintain exterior property, including snow and garbage removal
-Oversee daily trash removal, restocking/cleaning restrooms,
-Sweeping/mopping/vacuuming, cleaning/disinfecting tables and counters, cleaning exterior entryway/cigarette receptacles, graffiti removal, cleaning/polishing/floor maintenance for elevators, cleaning/disinfecting community surfaces (hand rails, water fountains, vending machines, etc.)
-Other work-related duties as assigned
