Overview:
As part of the Department of Protective Services, the City of Humboldt is currently seeking to fill a permanent, full-time Planning Coordinator position to begin immediately.
Under the direction of the Director of Protective Services and City Manager; the Planning Coordinator is responsible for performing municipal planning and ensuring orderly land and building developments occur within the City. The successful candidate will ensure that development proposals comply with Zoning Bylaws, the Official Community Plan, Cities Act, Planning and Development Act, or any other relevant local, provincial, or federal regulation. The position requires working with other Departments within the City to contribute to the Citys overall goals.
Qualifications:
University Degree or Technical Institute Diploma in Planning or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Eligible for registration with Canadian Institute of Planners.
Proficiency in computer software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and GIS Products.
Knowledge of Federal and Provincial Acts and Regulations, as well as local Bylaws and Polices related to the functions of the position.
Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License.

Compensation:
This is an out-of-scope position with a salary range of $57,026 - $68,461 (2022 rates). The City offers a comprehensive benefits package covering health, dental and vision, with a 9% matching pension plan.
