You will assist in ensuring compliance for the radiation protection program throughout the operation. You will collect, maintain, and record radiation data as well as issue radiation work permits. You will also conduct routine monitoring and assess working conditions pertaining to radiation protection for the safety of all workers.
The successful candidate will work a term of approximately four months (May to August). You will work a rotational schedule commuting to the site by aircraft.
You are currently enrolled in a science-based post-secondary education program and possess strong communication and computer skills. You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco.
Cigar Lake summer student positions are designated for Athabasca Residents in accordance with the YaThi Nn collaboration agreement.
Interviews will take place in April 2023. Students will be notified if they are selected for an interview.
