The Town of Foam Lake is a vibrant, progressive, family-friendly community with a proud history and an exciting future. Foam Lake is located on Highway 16 just 90km west of Yorkton. This community has a population of just over 1,100 and amenities that appeal to a variety of lifestyles including healthcare, education, recreation, and community facilities.

Foam Lakes Town Council is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Public Works Foreman.
  
The Public Works Foreman reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, leading the Public Works Department.
Position Summary:
Public Works Foreman is responsible for the effective planning, development, administration, management and operation of the Towns transportation, water and sewer services, in accordance with related legislation, policies and regulations.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversee and provide direction for all Public Works functions; transportation, water and sewer services
Participate in the development and implementation of operational planning as well as policies, procedures, goals and objectives
Responsible for the long-term planning, including updating of infrastructure and equipment
Draft annual operating and capital budget and provide to the Chief Administrative Officer each year, and present to Council if requested to do so
Responsible for long range and strategic planning (i.e. drafting a five-year Capital Plan)
Education and Experience:
Holds at minimum Water Treatment Class II and Wastewater Collection Level I certification.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader, with relevant education and/or senior management experience.
A minimum of 5 years Public Works experience, preferably in a management role
