Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking candidates for a part time Building Maintenance position in the local Estevan area. The successful candidate will be expected to assist in tasks dealing with the improvement, appearance, and efficiency specifically with maintenance and repairs for our clients buildings. This position would be best suited for an individual that possesses a background in building and grounds maintenance especially someone that is looking for a bit more flexibility in their weeks as this role will require the successful individual to work 16-32h weeks; while 3 plus years of building maintenance experience is preferred, our client will be open to applicants that possess less. Please note that successful candidates must possess a valid Saskatchewan drivers license as well as the ability to pass a criminal record check.
Job Duties Include:
Perform and document routine inspections of premises
Grounds keeping, minor yard maintenance, grass mowing etc.
Safely monitor and ensure proper function of heating/cooling system
Safely operate outdoor equipment such as snow blowers and lawnmowers
Snow and ice removal from all entrances and walkway areas
Perform adjustments and minor repairs such as plumbing, drywall repair, painting
Organize and assist with office and equipment moves
Long term office repair planning
Provide backup coverage for warehouse personnel
Coordination and oversite of onsite Contractors
pickup or delivery service as required
Adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and procedures
Job Requirements:
Completed Grade 12 education or equivalent; Building Operators Certificate is an asset; WHMIS training is an asset
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating, and fire safety systems
Ability to paint and repair minor drywall damage
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Proficient with basic computer and smartphone operation
