Description

Lac La Ronge Indian Band Woodland Wellness Centre is now inviting applications for (1) Permanent Full-Time Mental Health Supervisor based out of La Ronge, this position will report to the Prevention & Recovery Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing Mental Health programming, and providing supervision to Mental Health Therapists.
Duties:
Supervise and evaluate Mental Health staff;
Provide necessary direction to staff with a goal of assisting with clients;
Oversee training for Mental Health team;
Review monthly and quarterly statistics for accuracy and program enhancement;
Assist the Prevention & Recovery Manager with funding proposals and reporting;
Facilitate Mental Health team meetings;
Assist in crisis intervention planning for all LLRIB communities.
Deliver in-service programming in LLRIB schools and communities where required;
Organize group wellness workshops;
Provide Trauma Recovery Therapy;
Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or designate;
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelors Degree in related field; Masters Degree in Social Work or Masters of Education with a Major in Psychology preferred;
Required Professional Registration Number with a Regulatory Body (i.e., Saskatchewan Social Work Association, Canadian Social Work Association, etc.)
3-5 years supervisory experience;
Certification in trauma programming & training;
Ability to work within multidisciplinary team;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to travel to outlying LLRIB communities;
Must possess a valid class 5 drivers license;
Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset;
Ability to speak/understand Cree is an asset;
Security Clearance: Current Criminal Record, Vulnerable Sector Check and Drivers Abstract require
