Description

The Ministry of Social Services, Community Living Service Delivery (CLSD) Branch is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join the Clinical Services Team in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live their lives to the fullest and participate as valued citizens in their communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide physiotherapy services to CLSD clients based at the Edie Montgrand Centre  as well as through outreach to community based residential and day programs. The physiotherapist provides direct, person-centred services through assessment and intervention planning and education to individuals and support providers, ensuring successful achievement of outcomes. Another focus of this multi-disciplinary team is around consultation and capacity building within the CLSD sector to support individuals with high and complex needs.

As a leader within the team, you will provide supervision and direction to support persons and will have opportunities to influence and shape the program design and service delivery practices of the team. As a team member, you will reflect the values of the program, respecting the diversity of others and promoting a healthy, productive and safe work environment that is free of discrimination.

To qualify, you will be licensed by the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists and be eligible for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Experience in the areas of respiratory therapy and/ or aquatic based therapy would be considered an asset. This role may require travel and a flexible schedule for the purpose of program service delivery. Please note, this position may be exposed to the risk of violent situations. The successful applicant will be subject to clearance of a Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment.
