Facility: HOME CARE, COMMUNITY AND MENTAL HEALTH
Job Description: The Community Mental Health Nurse reports directly to the Regional Director of Mental Health and Addictions or his/her designate and works within an interdisciplinary mental health and addiction team, the Community Mental Health Nurse will provide a range of clinical services to a population of acute and persistent mental health disordered children, youth and their families. The Community Mental Health Nurse will use clinical knowledge and interpersonal skills in all aspects of professional practice pertinent to the Psychiatric Nursing Discipline. The incumbent will provide clinical nursing skills in the development and maintenance of community mental health treatment programs, and adhere to nursing practice standards.  
Required Qualifications

Registered or eligible for registration with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)
Registered Psychiatric Nurse (Bachelor degree preferred).
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Experience
Minimum 3 years' experience as an RPN/RN in an acute psychiatric inpatient unit or community mental health setting. Proven working knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act. Demonstrated ability to implement a specialized therapeutic program and consultative services. Demonstrated ability to learn new skills, show initiative, function with considerable self-reliance and demonstrate ability to use sound clinical judgment. Demonstrated working knowledge in the area of psychopharmacology, psycho social rehabilitation, recovery model, management of complex clients. Demonstrated ability to work independently, conduct initial assessments and develop care plans for a client caseload. Demonstrate considerable knowledge and skills to provide relevant ed
