CUMFI was founded in 1993 and incorporated by a group of Metis people living in the City of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The mandate of CUMFI is to ensure that the voice of Metis people is heard at the municipal level within Saskatoon and district." The Position:
The Childrens Program Worker is responsible for the safety and supervision of children in her care, as well as meal preparation, and maintaining daily routines. The Childrens Program Worker must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the children who come into the CUMFI home at varying hours.
Hours:
Casual Employees must work one scheduled weekend (Saturday, Sunday, and Statutory Holiday), and one on-call weekend, in a six (6) week rotation to maintain Casual status. Casual Employees may pick up additional shifts as they see fit.
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Grade 12
Experience with working with children 0-12 years
Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children
Reliable and self starting
Great communication skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Assist in maintaining records of children
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Tend to emotional well-being of children
Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants
