This position is part of our busy Service and Installation Shop and responsible for:
Performing maintenance, repairs and testing on our various types of equipment focusing on truck-mounted cranes, hydraulic cranes, and RT cranes
Completing some minor fabrication work
Performing other duties as required
At least 2-3 years previous related experience with heavy equipment or proven mechanical abilities
Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician / Mechanic, we will accept apprentice applications
Some experience with welding or willingness to asset or learn
hydraulic and electrical experience and knowledge
Solid mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems and read schematics
The ability to maneuver in and around heavy equipment
Excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team
The ability to work independently
Your own tools (we also have shop tools)
A Class 5 drivers license
Able to work independently
Our operating hours are 8:00am-4:30pm. Service truck work and field work required sometimes.
This role will be specifically to look after a single customer's fleet of semi and mobile equipment.
