Description

The Child Care Cook is responsible for preparing the daily meals for children within the child care centre according to a provided meal plan as well as to maintain the overall operation, cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. The cook will also assist with other daily general cleaning duties in the centre as needed.

Requirements
Safe Food Handling Certificate
Cooking/nutrition education and/or experience
Experience cooking Canadian Cuisine
Knowledge of the Canada Food Guide/nutritional guidelines for children
Strong organizational and time management skills
Experience with food preparation for large groups is preferred
Criminal Record Check- including a Vulnerable Sector Check
First Aid/CPR C is preferred
