Description

The Portfolio Management Office of the Information Technology Division (ITD) of SaskBuilds and Procurement is looking for a Senior Business Analyst. In this position, you will support: IT Business Strategy; the Strategic IT Portfolio Manager; and be the crucial liaison between customers and ITD. You will utilize your Information Technology (IT) and project management knowledge and experience, as well as your client and business relations, negotiation, facilitation, organization, and collaboration skills to advance government IT initiatives. You will leverage your technical expertise and consulting skills via collaborating with Ministry management, IT stakeholders and clients to determine IT expert engagement from intake and onwards throughout the lifecycle of strategic and operational initiatives.

Our candidate of choice will have work experience in project management and information technology, and preferably, will have business systems analysis work experience. You will be a critical thinker, problem solver, effective advisor, collaborative leader with strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.  Previous experience working in the public sector is an asset.
Typically, the knowledge and experience required to be successful in this position would be obtained through the completion of a graduate degree in computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Microsoft Project and enterprise reporting tools (i.e., Power BI, Cognos) would be seen as an asset.
