Description

Munchkin Mansion is a childcare organization operating in the city of Saskatoon. We provide care for children from 6 weeks to years old (kindergarten).

We are currently hiring Center Director for our two facilities in Saskatoon, SK, who have previous experience running an early childhood educator center of 100 children or more with a curriculum mindset and an operational focus. We are also open to applicants who are experienced teachers, self-driven and motivated, collaborative, and willing to learn and grow into a management position.

Responsibilities and Duties

Some duties include (but are not limited to):

-Positively communicate with parents regarding their child and their progress.

-Meet and work collaboratively with the staff to cultivate strategic thinking about program effectiveness

- Overseeing the hiring of new staff members - selecting not just qualified candidates, but also those who fit with the philosophy, values and culture of the program. This includes evaluating candidates, conducting on-site interviews and a working classroom interview.

- Training - ensuring all staff are fully trained in their responsibilities and the policies of the program as well as keeping staff up-to-date on the latest research in child development, safety precautions, and developmentally appropriate practices

- Conflict resolution - successful mediation of any conflicts that may arise due to the nature of work or the relationships between educators and/or families

- Building strong family connections - creating an environment that allows for strong family relationships to develop through open and proactive communication between parents and teachers. Organizing and hosting community events for teachers and families

- Mentoring and career growth - understanding the team's career goals and helping them progress towards career satisfaction and longevity.
