NATURE OF WORK:
This position performs basic to complex electronic equipment testing and repairs in all aspects of the Fleet Maintenance process from commissioning, operation and decommissioning.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Typically, the knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are obtained through Grade 12 (Twelve) and formal technical training from a technical institute, in the mechanical field and three (3) years experience in the electrical and electronics field in a garage environment.
Practical experience using computerized work order systems utilized in the areas of fleet services.
Demonstrated ability to read and understand schematic diagrams.
Ability to work with circuit board components.
Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
A valid Class 3 Licence with an A Endorsement will be considered an asset. Or will be eligible to obtain within 90 days.
Must possess a basic set of mechanics hand tools intended to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronics.
Must obtain and be able to obtain the necessary permits and certifications to operate equipment as required.
