Description

Applications are being accepted for the 3 positions of Mower Operator/General Labourer.  These positions are as per the Group 4 Classification and are permanent seasonal positions.

Duties include:  Operating a tractor and mower unit on the RMs mowing crew for the season of May through October. The successful applicant will be responsible for tractor and mower unit maintenance and minor repairs along with other various duties as required.

Desired Qualifications and Knowledge Base:
    Experience operation and maintenance of tractors, mowers, and light-duty trucks.
    Ability to respectfully deal with members of the public and co-workers to develop and maintain positive work relationships.
    Ability to accurately comprehend information from written or verbal instruction.
    Adaptable to changing work situations and demonstrates an ability to be self-motivated.
    Attention to detail to record accurate work reports.
    A valid Class 5 licence with a clear Drivers' Abstract is mandatory.
    Valid Class 1A driver's licence preferred.
    Grade 12 Education preferred.

Applications will be received until the positions are filled.  This position is subject to the required probationary period as defined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Duties of the successful applicant shall commence on or before May 1, 2023.
