Job Description: - Provides leadership and direction for the Nursing Team - assuming the In-Charge role that ensures the complete personal care for residents according to their needs
- Functions as a member of the care team - assessing residents, communicating with the physicians and other health professionals as needed as well as planning and directing or directly providing appropriate care
- Has a good understanding of the Eden philosophy for resident care
- Facilitates mobility assessments following the principles of the TLR program
- Evaluates the effectiveness of care and assesses residents on a consistent and ongoing basis to ensure appropriate care is being given
- Records and documents all appropriate and required information in the proper manner and on the appropriate forms and templates
- Participates in conferences and planning sessions
- Attends meetings, in-services and educational programs as required
- Participates in safety programs
- Completes all other duties as assigned
- Provide clinical supervision and support to all nursing staff
- Participate in ongoing quality monitoring and improvement
- Provides interpretation of policies, procedures, protocols and practice standards to staff
- Ensures fair work duties
- Assists central scheduling to ensure adequate and safe staffing levels are met
- Collaborates with LTC Educator to identify education needs and schedule staff for education sessions
-Performs daily rounds to ensure resident care needs are being met
- Provides orientation and training for current and new staff
- Communicates and facilitates resident reviews, family meetings and post admission conferences
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
