SaskWater is looking for Certified Wastewater Level 3 operator in Saskatoon to join our team. This position requires you to be working in a new Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) wastewater plant. You will undertake operation and maintenance work within an assigned regional water and wastewater system. The regional water and wastewater system may include SaskWater or client owned water treatment, wastewater treatment, water distribution, water transmission, wastewater collection and open canal conveyance and/or reservoir systems.

To qualify, you will have a diploma in Water Resources Engineering Technology or a similar technical discipline. Eligibility for certification as an Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.) or Certified Technician (C.Tech) is required. A Valid Class 5 Drivers License is required. Where applicable, a valid Saskatchewan operators license for the appropriate vehicle class of equipment within a district is required.

In accordance with the Water and Wastewater Operator Certification Program, certification in Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection and Wastewater Treatment must at a minimum meet the facility level of certification for the district.

In addition to the above qualifications, the job requires 4 years of experience in the following areas:
Working knowledge of water treatment, water distribution, wastewater collection and wastewater treatment and open canal conveyance and/or reservoir processes; and regional system operation and maintenance procedures including pipeline, pump, control valve and canal repair.

Special Requirements:  The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check and Drug and Alcohol test. You must be legally entitled to work in Canada. A valid Saskatchewan drivers license is required.
